I've been healed!

I've been healed! Thank the Lord! Thanks to everyone who has been praying for my healing because the Lord has heard your cries! As of about a week ago my hands and feet began healing up nicely and in the last week the wound on my ankle is about 80% healed.

Last Friday, Allison and I went to got a second opinion on my ankle wound. The doctor looked at it and ruled out fungus and bacteria from what we told her and from her examination. To her, it looked more like an allergic skin reaction. That night, Allison was thinking we ought to try some medications we'd had been using on the other blister affected parts of my body on the ankle. We did and the next morning the wound began closing up! Thank the Lord! Thanks for praying!

I feel like now I'll soon be able to wear shoes again, play sports, be out and about again. I can't wait. It was really frustrating being slowed up by those ailments. I'm so thankful for being healed.

Psalm 40.1-2
I waited patiently for the LORD;
he turned to me and heard my cry.

He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.

He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the LORD.

The Healing Aftermath

Here's a picture of what my feet look like now after being healed.

All of those dry spots on my feet represent areas effected by the blistering. As you can see it was very widespread. If you look close enough at my right foots big toe (left side of the picture), you'll see a piece of skin sticking out of it. That one piece was about one square centimeter in size. Totally nasty!

Post-Chaplaincy Internship

I finished my chaplaincy internship last week. I can't really believe it's done. It's hard to summarize my experience while I was there. It was enriching, sobering, eye-opening, humbling, sad, unforgettable. I'm glad I was there. We'll have to see if I decide to go back for more but for now I carry on with the rest of school.

If you would like to know more about my internship please give me a call and I'd be happy to tell you more about it.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters;
he restores my soul.
He leads me in right paths
for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff—
they comfort me.
