LA Kings Day

Today was a LA Kings filled day!

We began the morning at the LA Kings 5K race in El Segundo around the LA Kings training facility. Tim, my cousin, invited me and Allison to join in the race because the race registration included a ticket to that evening's game. At the last minute, my sister, Jennifer joined us for the race and the evening's game. I wasn't able to run because I just had a wart on the bottom of my left foot treated so running on it for three miles didn't exactly sound fun and painless. I ended up as the cheerleader and photographer.

That night at the game we saw just about everything you could see in a hockey game. The game went into double overtime. The first overtime was sudden death but obviously, they held each other off with no goals. That was followed by the second overtime portion was comprised of taking five penalty shots. The Kings and Avalanche held each other to five goals before the Kings finally outlasted the Avalanche. It was a real fun game!
