Hong Kong Visit

My entire family, Allison and myself celebrated Christmas in Hong Kong. We spent three weeks altogether out there. It was quite a trip filled with much touring around Hong Kong including a day trip out to Macau. It was a real whirl wind of a trip because I spent much of it dragging Allison around meeting many of my old friends, showing her places I used to hang out at, and introducing her to the cheap and delicious fast food I used to live off of. I was something of slave driver tour guide.

While we were there we spent some time talking with my old church, Evangelical Community Church, about the prospects of me and Allison returning to Hong Kong to serve with them for at least a year. The reason being is because I need to do a nine month internship with a church for my degree program and I still consider ECC to be my church, even though they're clear across the Pacific Ocean. We're still in the process of talking about the possibilities of us going back. We'll see what happens.

One evening, Michele hosted a surprise party/shower for me and Allison. We had got wind of it beforehand but didn't know what to expect. Almost twenty people showed up to bless us on our upcoming wedding! It was really touching to have so many people come out and show us so much love. We were both really touched.

It was great being back in my favorite city and seeing so many great friends and family. Those were some wonderful years of my life.

Fall Quarter Finals Weekend

Right now I'm in the midst of my Finals crunch. I have a paper due this Monday and another on Wednesday. I also have a final on Wednesday. My Monday paper is for my American Church History class and its thesis is: The doctrine of inerrancy has caused divisions and splits in various Protestants organizations as exemplified in Princeton Theological Seminary and Fuller Theological Seminary. My second paper is for my Women, the Bible and the Church class and is my position paper on women in ministry. Some people have expressed interest in reading my papers once I've completed them so if you, too would like a copy please do not hesitate to contact me. These are both very exciting subjects to be learning about, however I feel like there's too much to do in too little time. Please pray for me!
